When travelling in our beautiful region, as with any part of Australia, visitors should familiarise themselves with prevailing hazardous conditions that may affect their stay or experience.
Please remain alert to indicators such as the “Fire Danger Rating” as advised by the Bureau of Meteorology and make an informed decision prior to and during travel.
If you are staying in the region, your best source of information is your accommodation host or Visitor Information Centre.
Information on any current fires or other emergencies can be found on the Country Fire Authority and Department of Sustainabilty and Environment websites, calling the Victorian Bushfire Information Line on 1800 240 667, or listening to 774 ABC Melbourne Local Radio.
